Mindfulness Helps Children Affected By The Opioid Crisis

In the summer of 2018, The Nation Magazine published an article on elementary school families in Ravenswood, West Virginia plagued by opiates.  The article explores “children growing up in the shadow of the opioid crisis.”  At the story’s conclusion the principal says–we just need help.

IE staff contacted the school and gifted them our program. That school year they mandated practicing mindfulness; it has been life changing for both the students and teachers. Here is a link to a two minute video of the school counselor and a veteran teacher discussing the transformation. Take a few minutes to hear what an impact Inner Explorer has made for kids and families like these.

Please donate to Inner Explorer during this season of giving. Together we’re improving student mental health/wellness and fighting the devastating effect of opiates on families.
